East Ridge Acres
This is the name of our farm where we do the Horses are Magic equine experiential work. Several varieties of native trees, flowers, plants, birds and wildlife adorn the land. The meeting room is comfortable, warm in winter, cool in summer. There is a small kitchenette as well as an indoor washroom. We also have a small indoor round pen area to work in when the weather makes it uncomfortable to work outside. Our 47 acre property has three large paddocks where our horse live. They also enjoy a 10 acre field for exercising, grazing and socializing. Riding and walking trails comprise the remainder of the property. We have capacity to board a small number of horses and occasionally have openings for new boarders.
A new service to East Ridge Acres is riding lessons for beginners. See Colleen's information below.
Colleen has competed locally and internationally. Trained in classical dressage, Colleen's goal is to see the horse and rider move in harmony and without force. The intention of classical style of dressage is to keep the rider in balance while the horse is supple and moving with freedom. Colleen has completed the Equine Canada coaching for beginner requirements. She has experience in jumping, eventing and western riding. Colleen enjoys training horses and riders in both english and western disciplines. Trail rides are offered to students as they progress.
